VIP Private Chef celebrates nature, health & taste. Our mission is to present beautiful food that appeals to a sense of sophistication, while allowing the inherent natural flavours to shine. The focus has, and always will be, to present an exciting and delicious experience. We do this through an enticing sequence of flavours, surprising your senses.
Our recipes created by Executive Chef Josh MacLucas showcase the best his garden and local producers have to offer. He takes the best ingredients and presents them simply and elegantly.
Gourmet salts, oils, batters, sauces, curry pastes and dips are handmade and available to purchase. We carefully source the most outstanding regional cheeses, grass-fed meats and sustainable Australian seafood.
THE GARDEN
VIP Private Chef’s extensive herb, fruit and vegetable gardens are located on the family property at Lake Macquarie. Flourishing olive trees, pomegranate bushes and coffee bean trees are standouts whilst dragon fruit snake generously around the native timbers. The fragrance of the herb beds dance on upon your senses. Our aim is to incorporate as much homegrown natural produce into our signature dishes as the established gardens can sustain. Combining his love of nature and family, you will often find Josh tending to his beloved garden with his four children/mini-apprentices in tow.

Touched by personal experience, Josh and Renée recognize the challenges that can emerge when planning special occasions. With this in mind, VIP Private Chef caters to your every need. Full vegetarian, vegan and Halal degustation menus are available. We have skillfully crafted degustation menus accommodating dietary intolerances, allergies and anaphylaxis. Renée, aka the baby whisperer, is committed to bouncing babies so that Mum’s and Dad’s can eat slowly, with two hands and not rush. There is no request that Josh and Renée cannot accommodate so that families can come together for an inclusive and memorable dining experience. Thoughtful touches and going that extra mile are part of our service. This is luxury redefined.
